Over the years…
I have taken many shots, and I love some because of their history and back story and others because of their aesthetic appeal. Photography is quite funny in some regards because one person can love a photo while another doesn’t have the same attraction, a bit like art.
For me, commercially, you are pleasing the client first and foremost, while when you take your own photos, it’s a matter of indulging in your own passion and style. It is so much more enjoyable, but does it pay the bills?
