Microphotography Lesson example – Photographer: Don Hildred
Showcasing Student Photos
Students range from total beginners to advanced camera buffs. They come from far and wide, including Northern Queensland and the Blue Mountains in NSW.
Lesson and workshop examples
After a photography lesson or workshop, students will forward me examples of the photographs they took during their lesson. Below is a small sample of photographs students have taken over the years of my tutoring.
Workshop topics have included basic camera skills, advanced exposure techniques, and Mastering Photoshop CC. They have been primarily held in Australia, from Richmond in Northern QLD to the Blue Mountains in NSW. Some photos are also from our New Zealand tour of the South Island in Autumn 2018.
If you’re a past student, please feel free to email me some examples of your current work. I would love to show them to potential students. For a complete list of past workshops, please visit my About Don page.
Please note!
The photos above depict average images taken during private lessons, the Toowoomba Shutterbugs group outings and organised group workshops from far and wide, including some from the New Zealand South Island. Flowers in the Toowoomba region vary throughout the season and are more pronounced in spring and summer.
Photographic activities included depth of field (DOF), fast and slow shutter speeds, macro, landscape, sunset, nature, night photography, fashion, astrophotography, intentional camera movement, portraiture, and wildlife photography.
