Showcasing Picnic Point Student Photos
During your lesson, see what you can photograph at Picnic Point Parklands. Options include landscape, waterfall, macro, love lock, bugs, birds, flowers, etc…
What to expect at Picnic Point
I’ve included a collection of photos from past students taken in and around the Picnic Point Lookout and Parklands. This will give you an overview of the location and possible areas you might like to photograph during your lesson.
Please let me know in advance if you have a particular request to photograph a Macro, Landscape, Flower, Wildlife, or freezing and blurring water-type shots. So that you know, not all flowers are available all year round. Spring is one of the best times for flowers, and Autumn is best for the change of colour of leaves.
Students are encouraged to take whatever photos they find interesting along the way. Still, I am always beside them to offer technical advice, artistic suggestions, and feedback as we make our way around the Picnic Point Lookout and Parklands. It is a short walk (5 minutes) along a well-established walking track to the waterfall.
If time permits, we can make our way back to the coffee shop and look at your images on my laptop computer to see what you have achieved during your one hour of practical activities.
PS, you are also welcome to come early for breakfast or stay after the lesson for lunch in the Picnic Point restaurant.
Please note!
The photos shown above depict average images taken during a 3-hour photography lesson with one hour dedicated to photographic activities. Flowers will vary throughout the season and are more pronounced in spring and summer.
The waterfall will remain consistent unless we have water restrictions, which I will inform students of prior to their lesson. Photographic activities include – depth of field (DOF), fast and slow shutter speeds, and macro, landscape and wildlife photography.
